Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what information Broadside Inc. ("Broadside", "we", "us") collects when you visit broadside.app, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We keep this short because our practices are simple.

1. Information we collect

Analytics data

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our site — things like which pages are viewed, how long sessions last, and what country or city traffic comes from. This data is aggregated and anonymized; we cannot identify you individually from it. Google Analytics only runs if you accept cookies via the consent banner. If you choose "Necessary Only", no analytics data is collected.

Contact form submissions

If you fill out a contact or waitlist form on our site, we collect the information you voluntarily provide (typically your name and email address). We use this solely to respond to your inquiry or keep you informed about Broadside. We do not sell or share this with third parties for marketing.

What we do NOT collect

We do not collect payment information, create user accounts, run advertising trackers, or build behavioral profiles. Beyond what you choose to submit via a form, we collect no personally identifiable information.

2. Cookies

We use one category of cookie: analytics cookies placed by Google Analytics 4, and only with your explicit consent. Strictly necessary cookies (e.g. remembering your cookie preference) are always active. You can review or change your choice at any time using the link in the site footer.

3. How we use your information

We use collected information to:

  • Understand how visitors discover and navigate our site
  • Respond to messages you send us
  • Improve our products and content

We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.

4. Third-party services

The only third-party service that may receive data from your visit is Google Analytics (operated by Google LLC). Google processes analytics data on our behalf under a Data Processing Agreement. You can learn more at policies.google.com/privacy. No other third parties receive data from ordinary site visits.

5. Data retention

Aggregated analytics data is retained for 14 months in Google Analytics (the minimum configurable window). Contact form submissions are retained only as long as needed to address your inquiry and are not stored in any external database.

6. Your rights

If you are located in the European Economic Area, UK, or California, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete information we hold about you. Because we collect very little personal data, the most effective way to limit data collection is to choose "Necessary Only" in the cookie banner. For any other request, contact us at the address below and we will respond within 30 days.

7. Children

Our site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy occasionally. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
